Hi,

oprostite, samo govorim malo slovensko, torej,...

We have now a 50L boiler for 2 persons.

In summer, we will have guests, so we will need more heated water. We will install a second boiler in serie with the 50L boiler. We don't know which boiler to choose. After summer, we will use only the 50L boiler.

Our first idea was to buy Lentherm SGL 300L, since in the futur ewe will install additional heat exchangers. But the price is over 800euro and next tree years, we will use only electricity. For these reasons, we want something different.

Gorenje 120L latest model: 270euro
LenthermLGV/PGV :>400euro
Lentherm NGV 150L:>600euro (what is so special about this model? and why is this so expensive? It seems like a normal boiler which can stand on the floor)
4 your old Lentherm OWL second hand (200/300euro)

Can anyone help us with our choise? Are there other models which could be interesting?

if you're looking for cheap models, try Bauhaus - Baumax stores .
There's also "Heating time from 15 to 75 °C" - pretty much all boilers have the same heater, so it takes them 3 hours to heat up 80 litres or 7 hours to heat up 200 liters of water.
In any case - make sure you install the safety valve, so the boiler won't explode if something goes wrong. And the safety 30mA (0,03A) electrical switch, too.

Since elevated consumption of water is expected only temporary, I would buy something under 100 euros. You may find cheap solutions (additional 80 l boiler should be enough for 2 or even more persons) in Merkur stores, for example Merkur Nova Gorica or Idrija. Look at link below for models, features and prices:

My electrician was here and said it is not commen to put safety switch 30mA for a boiler if not in bathroom.

Safety valve is installed(Unitas) but will be changed since it gives a whisling noise each time we take water from the tap

We did some experimenting: 50L water 75° gave about 16 minutes of hot water. More than enough for 3 persons. We decided to go for another Gorenje 100L boiler. We prefer to buy Slovenian instead of Obi/Bauhaus.

najlepsa hvala!

In my experience new fully heated 50L boiler - with not much much scale which builds up over the years is just fine for 4 persons aware of possible water shortage. This means closing down the tap while soaping, taking a short shower instead of bath, waiting with hand dishwashing/shower before the other activity... Since it is only temporary waiting 20 minutes or so for the water to heat up again is not to much trouble for a short period of time (let sey up to 10-14 days. That at least is my experience from various holidays.

I am very much pleased to hear that somebody intentionaly supports and thinks about local economy. Gorenje is known for good products and hase about 5% market share in EU.
